Case for Support
If you or a loved one have had surgery, been in a car accident, or needed an organ transplant, there’s a very good chance you’ve benefitted from Canadian Blood Services.
Canadian Blood Services manages the national supply of blood and stem cells across Canada. They also lead an interprovincial organ transplant system.
Good Works was engaged to develop an organizational case for support that would be both informative and empowering to prospective donors and staff alike. The document would act as a foundation for all of the communications and messaging developed for fundraising.
To get a well-rounded vision of the charity, we spoke with staff, volunteers and board members at all levels of this large and complex organization. We looked for stories that would illustrate, in a tangible way, the work that Canadian Blood Services carries out and the impact a donor has through their gift.
The end result is a case for support that inspires both Canadian Blood Services staff and potential donors.
“The team at Good Works listened to our needs, mapped a plan to deliver and encouraged feedback throughout the process. Their advice took us from organization-focused messaging to pulling out our value-add for donors who support health related charities.
The case for support Good Works developed provided a fresh look at how we should be speaking with our donors and prospects alike.”
