As an existing direct mail client, Interval House approached us about taking on their annual report. We started by identifying some of their most poignant stories to help illustrate the crucial role that donors play in their overall success. Then we meshed this with financial information that would adequately report back on the past year. (We know from past research that donors want to know exactly how they made a difference, and the best way to communicate that is by sharing stories that illustrate impact paired with financial metrics.)
During a conversation with one of Interval House’s loyal donors, that donor shared the idea that people’s lives can change in an instant – much like the images in a kaleidoscope. Good Works was taken up with the concept and decided that we could use this metaphor to create the Gratitude Report.
We are extremely proud of this piece, but more importantly, Interval House is thrilled with the final product.
“WE TRUSTED GOOD WORKS WITH THIS PROJECT BECAUSE THEY ARE WONDERFUL STORYTELLERS AND REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT DONORS ARE LOOKING FOR FROM THE ORGANIZATIONS THEY SUPPORT. tHIS REPORT IS A MODEL WE WILL BE ABLE TO USE YEAR AFTER YEAR TO KEEP OUR DONORS INFORMED AND ENGAGED IN OUR WORK.”
