I feel immensely blessed to be able to call Good Works my home away from home. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and for creating, well, anything, so working as part of this wonderful team seems a perfect fit.
From a young age I’ve been devoted to breathing art into life, from making all my gifts from scratch and producing homemade holiday cards, cooking and baking delicious foods, to studying graphic design and fine arts. In turn, my passion transitioned into a career with a small business with the motto, “the Art of Storytelling,” where my focus was helping our clients bring their stories to life through design and print.
I was taught by my mother from an early age to contribute to my community as I observed her volunteering for a local women’s support centre and canvassing for cancer research. As an adult, volunteering, donating, and working for a small business that was deeply enmeshed in the community and supported local causes, I felt I was a part of the whole, and a helpful cog in the machine, but still I knew I needed a change and that I could and should do more for others.
Now, here I am at Good Works, and I’m so very happy to be able to integrate my creative problem solving skills and put my knowledge of print production and design process to work for the good of the community and beyond.
