The Digital Fundraiser supports the work of our client service teams to establish, develop, enhance and execute digital fundraising programs using a variety of platforms and tools for our charity partners. This role requires strategic development, execution and coordination, project management, and individual contribution as part of a multi-faceted team, based on client and Good Works requirements.

The Job
Good Works is seeking a Digital Fundraiser to work closely with our client service teams to ensure timely and superior tactical delivery of digital fundraising and marketing campaigns for our charity clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand the unique operational contexts of each client to assist the Campaign Strategist in informing strategic digital recommendations that fit the client’s needs, resourcing, and budgets
  • Contribute to campaign brief development for digital campaigns, and input into digital campaign strategy, tactical selection and mix, creative content, and testing
  • Fundraising copywriting and editing for ad campaigns (search, social, video, display), email, landing pages, donation pages, SMS messaging campaigns and other digital automations
  • Understand client branding guidelines, data requirements, and production needs
  • Provide creative support for digital campaigns and adapt/create visual assets
  • Build, deploy, optimize, and analyze email campaigns in client email service provider (MailChimp, Luminate Online, Engaging Networks, etc)
  • Build, deploy, optimize, and analyze ad campaigns in client accounts (Google, Meta, YouTube, Twitter, etc)
  • Build, deploy, analyze and optimize SMS messaging campaigns
  • Analyze client analytics accounts (GA4, etc) and make recommendations to optimize campaigns
  • Provide ongoing reporting and recommendations for clients on active campaigns and in campaign debrief
  • Through writing, blogging, speaking and professional volunteerism, raise profile of Good Works
  • Keep up to date on sector trends and new fundraising knowledge
  • Input into RFP submissions and other client proposals as necessary

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in digital fundraising and/or digital marketing, with a preference for those who may have familiarity with the charitable sector
  • Experience executing media buys and optimizing ads campaigns on Facebook/Instagram and Google preferred
  • Google Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, Google Data Analytics, and/or Meta 100/200/300/400/410 Certification preferred
  • Hands-on experience with deployment in Luminate Online, Facebook/IG Ads, MailChimp, Raiser’s Edge or NXT an asset
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Strong copywriter who can adapt their writing style to fit a variety of client voices
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and able to prioritize as part of a small but nimble team
  • Proactive (confident in asking questions, generating ideas, and being a self-starter) on projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with a wide range of people
